1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the Windows program 'Ultari NEO' and this website, both provided by ProjectTeamForYou ('we'). Installing the program or buying a licence means you accept these terms.
2. Licence scope — personal and commercial
Personal (free): you may install it on PCs an individual owns and uses at home. There is no limit on the number of PCs or on time, and detection that bears on personal safety will never be put behind payment. Commercial (paid): a work PC belonging to a registered business — an office, shop, workshop or company — needs a commercial licence. That includes the work PC of a sole trader or freelancer. A commercial licence covers the number of PCs bought and lasts one year. A licence may be used on as many PCs as you bought, at the same time. If you replace a PC, remove the key on the old one, or simply wait: a seat that has not checked in for 45 days is freed automatically. Ask us and we will free it at once.
3. What you may not do
You may not reverse-engineer or decrypt the program or circumvent licence verification; resell, redistribute or share licence keys; send automated bulk requests to our servers; or use the program to monitor or interfere with someone else's device without their consent. The network and device inspection features must only be used on networks and devices you are authorised to administer.
4. Payment, term and renewal
A commercial licence is valid for one year from the date of payment. It does not auto-renew; when it expires only the commercial features lock and the free personal features keep working. Payments are handled by PortOne (domestic) or PayPal (international); we do not store payment instrument details. Businesses can request a VAT invoice.
5. What the product is, and is not
Ultari NEO does not replace antivirus software and we do not warrant that it detects every piece of malware, intrusion or data leak. A security tool can only see what is known and what is observable. The program always shows the grounds for its verdict, and where it cannot explain traffic it says so rather than inventing a reason. We make no promise that any particular threat will be found or that any particular outcome will follow.
6. Undo and limitation of liability
Every action the program takes is backed up before it runs and can be undone; if the backup fails the action is not carried out. Even so, save for our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for loss arising from your use is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months. For the free personal edition we exclude liability to the fullest extent the law allows.
7. Definition updates and notices
The program downloads definition packs signed by us to update its detection rules; a pack whose signature does not verify is never loaded. We may display notices in the program and may send an instruction suggesting that a scan be run. Such an instruction never opens or transmits your files and you may ignore it.
8. Changes, termination and governing law
If these terms change we will post the change on this page 7 days before it takes effect, and 30 days before if the change is to your disadvantage. You may uninstall the program and close your account at any time. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea; a consumer may bring proceedings in the court with jurisdiction over their residence.
